For Inpatient

 Prior to arrival, patients scheduled to be admitted to Tokyo Metropolitan Ohtsuka Hospital and their family members are requested to check the details on this page.

1. Hospital admission

Admission Desk

 After receiving an examination at an outpatient clinic, patients who have received instructions from their doctor to be admitted as inpatients should make an appointment for admission at the Hospital Admission Desk located on the first floor. You will be asked to go through designated procedures.

2. What to bring

 The following is a list of items that new inpatients should bring to the hospital:

* Some of the goods may be purchased at our shop on B1F.
* The contents of this list may vary depending on which department you are scheduled to be admitted of if you will have surgery.

3. Clothing and commodity rental service

 The following items are available on a rental basis. If needed, please make a request at the counter next to the Hospital Admission Desk.

4. Rooms

 A standard room has six beds.
 Special suites (single- or double-occupancy rooms) require an extra fee. Single-occupancy rooms are 11,000 yen/day, and double-occupancy rooms are 4,500 yen/day. You may be requested to transfer to a standard room after being admitted for other patients in need with priority medical attention. Your understanding is greatly appreciated.

5. Meals

 The hospital will provide you meals during your stay.

6. Patient privacy

 To protect the privacy of inpatients, we do not respond to questions concerning inpatient status or condition from anyone other than family members. In addition, we do not forward calls to inpatients.

7. Visitors and Well-Wishers

 The schedule for visiting hours is as follows:

Ward No. 210 (ICU) 11 am – 7 pm
Ward No. 320 (NICU) 1:30 pm – 3 pm, 5 pm – 11 pm and 1 am –7 am
Ward No. 320 (GCU) 11 am – 3 pm and 5 pm –7 am
Ward No. 330 and MFICU 7 am – 9 pm

 Visitors need to fill in the guest book at the 1F Main Entrance Reception (Admissions/Visitors’ Entrance) or the security guard after hours, in order to receive a visitor’s card which is requested to be worn at all times.

8. Use of mobile phones

 Please limit your use of mobile phones or Personal Handyphone System (PHS) devices to the following designated areas;
near the first floor central elevator landing, the central area of the basement first floor, and in front of the elevator hall on each floor.

9. Hospital discharge procedure

 After receiving you bill, please pay at the first floor accounting desk (counter No.6). Then submit the receipt to the head nurse at the ward you have stayed.

10. Medical treatment and welfare consultations

 Please feel free to consult our staff about inpatient fees, details regarding your hospital stay, home life, work- or school-related concerns, or any other issues.

11. Parking

 Please use public transportation. Priority for parking is given to those with disabilities.
